Hi, I’m Faye.

Let me tell you how I got here.

I think we’ve got something in common: I too was a chronic worrier who didn’t manage their emotions or stress properly.

After going through several therapeutic journeys of my own over the years, I quit my job in corporate communications at a tech company in 2021 and went back to full-time education to pursue an MSc in Psychology.
Fast forward to today, and I’m about to complete my Level 5 Diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy, alongside holding Level 2 and Level 3 Certificates in Therapeutic Counselling. I’ve also worked in mental health and healthcare improvement research for the past five years.

I found my place in trying to understand how our minds work, how we interact with the world, and communicating those insights to others. Combining this with helping people bounce back and empowering them to create lasting change that feels achievable (rather than abstract) is what gets me out of bed in the morning. That, and my dog Mac and good coffee.

About Head Strong with Faye

I deliberately adopted the term headstrong because it embodies my style and attitude to therapy: to be determined to grow and strengthen our mental health. It also speaks to the therapeutic process of committing to change (despite the challenges) to achieve results. Because being strong isn’t an inherent trait: it’s something that’s built up over time (and with the right support), which echoes my way of working.

You won’t find Head Strong with Faye on social media: this is intentional because it’s become a fast-paced, crowded and noisy space that’s often filled with misinformation, so I prefer to communicate with written resources that are evidence-led and provide you with the knowledge to help your mind feel stronger.
